Here's today's experience at the short term lot.

The transponder wasn't installed. Entered via the fastrak lane. No beep (obviously), gate opened, no ticket. Apparently the LPR (License Plate Reader) matched up the license plate to the account and opened the gate. On exit, the transponder was where it was supposed to be and beeped. A receipt came out and the gate opened after taking the receipt.
