This describes my kids perfectly (18 month & almost 4 year old, both boys). Our most recent trip was to San Francisco. We got the 3 day Muni passport which got us on the cable cars, historic trolleys, and buses. We also rode the BART. The one thing my four year old asked for everyday was if we could go to a playground. We also stayed across from the Ferry Building and got a view of the ferries coming and going which was fun for them to watch. Next time we go I think we'll try to find a place with a playground nearby.
Our next upcoming trip will be to Maui which we've done with our older son before. I imagine we'll just play at the beach all day long. I hope we can do at least one easy hike with both of them this time.
