I'm to the point where I can do a careful analysis of what I need between now and the end of the year to requalify as Plat (conservatively assuming no more manna dropping from DL heaven in the form of MQM bonuses). The trips that I will be making to IAH won't be necessary for achieving this.

As has been my policy all this year, if the choice on an itinerary is between a DL psuedo-jet or a WN 737, I'm usually in the 737, almost always in the exit row. DL's loss. WN's gain.

As to other posts suggesting that DL is ready to retrench and capitulate IAH to CO... I would agree. So much for the illusion of "competition" in the airline industry... at least between the legacies.
