I can say that the expired thing is NOT just people trying to "blag" or whatever. I have some sympathy with that position, but what is the big deal for everyone else about carrying a small piece of plastic that entitles one to obviously so much benefit? I think there needs to be an adult acceptance that such a tiny effort of little time makes life easier for the lounges, and frankly, gives the lounge staffers more time to check up on (and resolve) late card and mis-status issues. Surely that is in everyone's interest?
Frankly, and you can 'flame' me as much as you like, I think this thread has reached the pedantic and regular fliers (who should know better by experience) who have the card and where everything is in order should just 'get over it'.
