Marriott's profits are down because they are spending far too much money on all of these lavish concierge lounges and over-the-top VIP treatment for Platinum guests, especially at properties that have been arbitrarily labeled as "resorts".


They really need to cut back on that stuff.


Oh, and they should think about devaluing the rewards program while they're at it. That'll save a few bucks...
