IMHO a CR9 is not a regional jet. yes it technically is but I would not put it in the category of a CR2/7 as it has roomy & comfortable seats & an F cabin.

Similarly ATL-IAH is also CR9's and M88's. I personally prefer the CR9 over most planes but the M88 on those shorter flights. It's comfy (IMHO) and an almost guaranteed upgrade.
I started noticing the aircraft selection on Delta going to IAH just recently as well. Normally I would have just flown Continental anyway, but since they're soon to finally have left SkyTeam, I had to book a flight in October (a few days after they're gone) and just was surprised out the amount or RJ's handling that load between to major cities. (I'm sure Delta has valid reasons and numbers to back up that decision, just seemed odd to me).
