Hi everyone
I am resurrecting this thread because I have the exact same schedule, tomorrow July 17, as I was to have on May 29. Final arrival CDG (of course).
I am now perturbed because I see that CLT is supposed to have a lot of thunderstorms all bloody day tomorrow.
Initially I had thought to just show up early and take the 1040 AM flight to CLT to give me ALL DAY to make the Flight 770 to CDG. However, now I'm wondering if being stuck in CLT with various storms would be a good idea.
For experienced flyers - would you just take your chances, take the later flight, and if it's clear you will be delayed and can't make it to CDG THAT NIGHT then US would feel pity and put me on a nonstop out of IAD-CDG?
Or would you commit to CLT, early flight, knowing that you'd be stuck there with only 4 transatlantic flights to choose from once you are there?
