I have read the archives about the London Hiltons, but need some guidance. Four of us (adults) are going to London fo pleasure at the end of Feb, so I can't be too picky. Trying to use 2 GLONs and initially booked Green Park so I'd have something. It sounds like a good location, bad hotel. That's probably why they still had award rooms available.

If the location makes up for the condition of the hotel, I can live with it. I'm not always sure if people are just being picky about little things, are mad because they weren't upgraded, or if it is truly a dump. I would appreciate it if I could get some recommendations based on the following:

1. Flying into Gatwick.
2. Location is more important than quality of hotel, but I don't want a dump. None of us have ever been to London, so we want to be able to walk around or get around to all the tourist traps easily.
3. Using GLON and am Diamond.
4. How is it better/worse than Green Park (the room, transportation, close to tourist traps)?
