Another confirmation that it won't be a problem. I often have my Canadian passport in for visas so travel on my Irish passport, and don't have any trouble coming back into the country with my Irish passport and Canadian citizenship card. Usually I don't even show the citizenship card on departure (I was once asked for it at LHR). In Canada, I just hand over both the Irish passport and the Canadian Citizenship card. No problem at all.
