Seems a great way to lose business to me, I can get premium virgin seats to the west coast of the US for less than one leg on BA.

Anoying thing is I was trying to book this yesterday but couldnt get through to BAEC as you cant do this online. Have to be back by 18th August. was going to MFU to CW into JFK and out of PHX on 17th (both available) , price was coming in at about £1k each. now its over 2k.

Looks like I will be going virgin. Thing is, this will top up my virgin miles and I may now fly virgin to HK next year which I may need to do twice.

If I could get the BA flight and the internal it would get me to silver by my september cut off. If I don't there is no incentive for me to fly BA next year for my US trips and china.

I suppose the question is how "flexible" do BA want to be to retain my business? I'm thinking "not at all"!
