I've had some good (sub $200/nt.) deals staying at the Inn on Rivington and the Hotel East Houston in the past when I've been lucky enough to snag a room during a soft opening period.

Looking for a weekend room in September, and did a quick Google and Hotel Chatter search today to see if there are any similar opportunities out there right now, but came up flat.

Anyone with a good lead? If no luck, I'll bid $100 on Priceline for 4 star and likely make out fine, but I prefer these smaller boutique hotels since they usually have nice perks (Katherine Heigl in the elevator at Rivington, and a nice breakfast spread, too!; same breakfast at Houston, and a killer BYOB roof deck).
