You have to take advantage of whatever's thrown at you. A few years (well, 8 years now) my partner and I had overnighted there and it was still clouded in in the morning. We did some walks and had started driving downhill towards Sydney when a break in the clouds occurred. We drove back and took in the major scenic view (and still got back to Sydney in time for a dinner appointment).
