When I ran the app, there was significant lag between keypad entries of my GVoice/Google ID and password and the keystrokes appearing on the screen. Once i completely entered my GVoice/Google ID and password and clicked/selected "Login" or "Next" (or whatever) in the app (presumably to login to my account) my BB froze. Had to pull the battery out to get it to unfreeze and restart.
I deleted the app shortly thereafter. I'm still feeling out GVoice so such immediate access via a BB app is really not an essential for me, for now.
I did
not notice a slowdown on my VZW Storm, but the GV app did grind away for a minute or so updating the call history and populating the voice mail list right after I logged on. The Storm's got a pretty fast processor in it, 2-3 times faster than the one in the Curve. And EvDO is quite a bit faster than EDGE, too.
Could be that you just needed to wait a couple of minutes.
