On balance, I'm going to risk it to get the extra half day on the slopes and a direct flight! We can print our boarding passes at the hotel, BA baggage drop closes one hour before departure and, as I've got status, lines shouldn't be a problem.

Even assuming 30 minutes at baggage reclaim, 15 minutes transfer and, say, 15 minutes to drop baggage and get through fast-track security, I should still have over an hour. With a bit of luck, UA might even check the luggage through...

However, if, as rjque notes, the worst should happen at ASE, my travel insurance should cover me!

Hi,

I do not recall seeing Fast track security at the A gate check point when I was at SFO last weekend ( flying VS Upper Class) . However the wait was less rthan 5 mins at 3.30pm and I think it would be less at 1900 hours ( limited flights at that time)
