why are "accessable" room rates lower than standard rooms?
I see something like this nearly everytime I log on to make a reservation:
BEST AVAILABLE RATE (DJ) HILTON.COM RESERVATIONS ONLY; CONTACT (details)
152.00 USD 1 KING BED EXECUTIVE FLOOR
143.00 USD 2 DOUBLE BEDS EXECUTIVE FLOOR
125.00 USD ACCESSIBLE ROOM..2 DOUBLE BEDS
DT AAA STAY SAVE (SDTAA1) AAA AUTOMOBILE CLUB MEMBERSHIP CARD REQUIRED (details)
53.10 USD ACCESSIBLE SHOWER
103.55 USD 1KING EXEC SUITE NON-SMK
Does anyone else find this strange? It is not as if that room would (could) go unoccupied, we've all been given those rooms when they are the last available in the hotel.
Seriously, I don't intend to turn this into a political commentary, nor do I mean this to disrespect any disabled persons.
