Well, so I checked in on-line, declined to pay $154 to upgrade to F, declined to pay $31 to get double miles, but had forgotten that UA offered me a 90-day premier status which I accepted, so at least I'm in economy pus.

I wonder if the upgrade will be cheaper on the return.
