As a blue, I've never had any problem booking row 26 on the 777 to BOS at T-24. I have always travelled during the week though, when I guess most Status pax will be on corporate tickets and therefore sat in front of me.

Haven't been for a while as the Missus now lives over here in Blighty so there may well be more shiny pax down the back, so things may have changed a bit. I'm sure things are different too when flying on the weekend or to more leisure based destinations, when more status pax are likely to be travelling down the back
