A330/A340 differences
There was some discussion on another thread about A330s and A340s. There are actually less seats on AC's A330s than its A340s.
The latest timetable (just out) shows 228 economy and 44 Executive Class on A330 vs. 252 economy and 32 Executive Class on A340.
The configuration is 2 2 2 in the Executive Cabin on both, with only 5 rows along the windows and a sixth in the centre on A340 and the same configuration on the A330 but with an additional two full rows behind the entrance doors (rows 7 and 8). This reduces the forward economy cabin to rows 12 to 25 (25 being a partial row because of toilets in the centre) on the A330 compared with rows 12 to 28 (28 being a partial row) on the A340.
I am not sure what (if any) other advantages the A330 has but as KenHamer says, it is basically the same as an A340.
