I've used a bunch of EEO's over the years, and I'm honestly trying to think if I can remember a property that got it completely right based on my handing them the certificate at check-in. (That is, the bill under my door was correct.)

Like I said before, I love this promo and can't grumble too much about it. I think a lot of chatter on these boards is how Starwood and Hilton have better promotions than Marriott does. That may or may not be true, but a lot of the Marriott promotions - EEO's, frequent 3rd/4th nights free at MVCI, the long-running Hertz HPR promo, Premium Pounds, etc. - aren't or weren't related solely to points. Your need mid-tier to get them, but Starwood's best promotions go to top-tier only so that's not unique.

That said, HPR and PP are dead now, so the list of valuable promos is slimmer now than in years past. At least the ones I know about anyway...
