I have a question regarding mechanical delays and being re-booked on another carrier. When re-routed to another carrier, will you get miles/mqms for the route you booked, or the route flown on the new carrier? In this instance, route booked is better for the customer.

Also, for a DL Plat that had the upgrade and lost it due to the change of carrier, does DL try to re-book in F? I'm asking for my husband, as these were his circumstances this a.m. He did lose the UG, and was of course disappointed, but certainly recognizes UG's are a gift and he appreciates them when they come through. We're wondering what policy is, mostly a curiousity thing.
