I've never really flown Delta...but with the merger with NWA, I'll be flying Delta much more frequently in the future. (Besides....Delta has had the cheapest fares lately....not sure why....we bought SFO-FLL r/t incl taxes for $180 total for March 2010!! )

How do you think the SkyMiles program compares with UA Mileage Plus, AA Advantage, AS Mileage Plan and Continental's OnePass?

Discounted, Saver Award Availability? (First/or Coach) From my experience, UA has better saver award availability than AA....while AA has better F/C saver award availability.

Fees about the same on award tickets? Changes? I'm assuming they are.

Are the elite qualifications pretty much the same?

Upgrade Awards? (or is their old rule of no discounted Y fare upgrades still apply?)

I do see they are partners with AS Mileage Plan. Not sure if it would be better to earn miles on AS vs. Delta....just depends where I would get better benefits.
