Thanks for the info Guys, I want a really nice harbour view so I can lounge around with a cocktail or two and watch the world go by. If I come to the island I will stay at the Conrad, if I stay in Kowloon it may be 1 of 6, Nikko,Grand Stan IC,Shangri La,Int Co or even a night at the YMCA. One option is 1st night at YMCA 2nd night at The Pen.</font>
Gus-

If they deny you a harbour view room, at least you can "lounge" around with your favorite beverage (scones and sandwiches in the afternoon and hors d'oeuvres in the evening) in the executive lounge. The view from the lounge is breathtaking (though IMHO, and almost as awesome as the view from the Kowloon side, especially from the Intercontinental fka Regent).

Shangri-La hotels are running a promotion this winter called the "Rate Break" which includes full American breakfast. The rate at the Kowloon property I believe starts at only HK$1,380. The YMCA is a fine property and good buy.
