VF, while I'm not familiar with CDG airport, CO is plain and simple wrong. As I understand it from the previous poster, the TGV-station is on airport grounds. In such a case the airport is responsible to provide assistance to get anybody with a mobility need to their 'designated point' after the baggage claim. In this case it's the TGV station, for others it might be to get people to their family waiting and/or their car outside in the parking lot. As long as the station is within the airport or right below it, this does apply to this situation.

Since the summer of 2006, the EU has regulations for flying with a mobility disability. It applies to ALL flights departing from, landing within and connections within the EU. So, both CDG airport and this specific CO flight fall under this regulation.

CO has to communicate your colleagues need to CDG airport. After that it is CDG airport's responsibility to take care of his needs. Most airports have outside companies take care of this, some will even have fulltrained EMT's doing this work. You can find the EU regulation in english on here; http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/...001:01:EN:HTML . You are looking for the info in Annex II. A copy of it in French; http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/...001:01:FR:HTML. It is available in alle languages used within the EU.

This all being said, I would call CDG to make the needs known and NOT rely on CO. I'm European and pretty laid back on this department -when used to less, one expects less -, but have had my share of experiences where it can be a nice challange to get stuff arranged on a European airport. It is the smartest thing to inform both airline and airport yourself and not rely on one party to fix all. Expect to need to nicely remember them of the need.

Oh, and carry a copy of the regulation during travel. Most of the times it isn't needed, but somehow it's still so unknown that IF he runs into any problems and refers to it, nobody will know what this regulation states. Showing them a copy does wonders, I tell you.
