This is fine in the short run, but for the long haul (if the circumstances do not change), this will create a culture of FAs that "treats-down" on the op-up passengers vs. revenue passagers. And, I believe, in the long run cost them loyal economic class passengers.
The wiser course of action, in my opinion, should be the FAs treats everyone in the cabin the same, op-up or not.
