Exclamation Cathay Pacific Considering Changing Service and Catering for Op-Upped Pax?

This seems to only apply when the cabin is full of op-upped pax though.

From this month's staff magazine:

As bookings are down significantly in Business and First Class while sometimes being overbooked in Economy Class, passengers are increasingly being upgraded to fill the front cabins.

I have noticed that often the entire front-end section consists of upgraded passengers and there are no full revenue First Class passengers.

In those cases, instead of giving the full First Class service, would it be possible to provide a Business Class service instead?

This could be extended to the Business Class cabin on flights where it is full of upgraded Economy Class passengers.

Your observations are accurate in that our passenger distribution inflight is changing due to the current circumstances.

Your idea about offering a different service from the cabin the passenger is seated in is a good one. We are looking into this and other possible flexibilities to the service plan and catering arrangement to adapt to what we hope is a temporary situation.
