There is a place in India where you can go and have a go on an evacuation slide from a real aircraft, under simulated evacuation conditions.
Also if you find out who makes the evacuation slides, I'm sure you can volunteer to be a tester for them. It was on an A380 documentary, they had to get a large number of volunteers to test if the slides deployed successfully, and if they could get over 500 people down them in something like 120 seconds!
Personally though, I can honestly state that if I go through life without ever having to use one of those slides, I will not be at all disappointed.
