Bang up earnings release today bodes very well for AC's positioning:

-Earned C$124 million vs C$61 mill '98 loss
-0.65/share vs 0.32/sh loss last year.
-Cash and equivalents equal C$899 million
-Even WITHOUT the estimated effects of the pilots strike (nearly 2wks last Sept), operating income was up 19%.
-So for the first 9 months of '99, AC has the best ever operating income and highest ever margins since its '88 privatization.
