well hell, you never told us UVERSE was available in your remote location.
Why the heck do we need rural broadband stimuli if one can get UVERSE in such and area? I cannot even get it here in Silicon Valley!!!
go with the Uverse solution, bang them for discounts, cash back, bundle promos, etc. They will do it.
