Similar problem here - K class so no BMI miles. As this is looking like it's going to be a regular occurrence once a month for the next year is it better to get an Aeroplan card (and get x1 miles but put up with the fixed earning year 1/1 - 31/12) or go for a M&M and only get x0.5 but plan on amalgamation?

Currently Gold on BD so all status miles welcome but when not available what's the thinking on the best alternative?
