There it is... HA00UPRA. H-fare, 0-day advance purchase, auto-upgrade to A. No sure what the FA00UPNN is, it's probably an input to a function that defines cost to the customer. Yet fare-construction isn't fare-basis.

  • Booking Class on e-ticket and on delta.com is clearly shown as 'A'
  • Fare rules show 'A' booking class as FIRST CLASS, and NOT discounted coach
  • Last but not least, if I had put a SkyMiles number in, I would have got 150% credit, but not with WorldPerks
Yup, that just about covers all the bullet points from the DL forum, in regards to A fares.

I did however get a stiff warning that there would be no exceptions in future and that a 'note' had been put in my account. I responded that in future I would hope that the WorldPerks and SkyMiles programmes are better integrated as it is somewhat anomalous that if you book an F ticket on actual NW operated aircraft but via delta.com, you would get 150% if you credit to SkyMiles, but only 100% if you credit to WorldPerks.
Which makes sense. As this was an H fare, you should have received the respective DL and NW EQM applicable. If DL wants to toss you something extra for sitting in A, so be it. Yet don't expect NW to give you anything except whatever H qualities for.

What is alarming is the amount of transparency, and the customer service experience. All the rest makes sense... it's alarming you have to come to a forum to figure it out, and so many people infer so much from what they see on screens and paper. DL really should put some time into this, yet they appear to have their hands busy with other things.

Until then, we just get to have more of these threads.
