Hi all,
I'm new here and have been travelling back and forth from Melbourne to Europe for quite a few years now. However, it has been mostly with Emirates and never with Singapore Airlines. No particular reason, really, just had good connections..
Just a few months ago, when Singapore advertised a big online sale, I purchased return tickets from Melbourne to Frankfurt for my family and myself of course. One thing I didn't take notice, but DID notice it AFTER I paid for the tickets (of course

), is that some of the legs are operated by the B747. With Emirates, I believe I have always been on the B777.
Now, the fact that the B747 is an "older" aircraft doesn't worry me that much, what I'm worried about is - yep, you guessed it - INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT!
So, my question basically is does Singapore have the "modern" inflight entertainment (per seat) with movies, games etc. or will I be dying of boredom while wrestling with my also bored to death kid?
