BB, in another post I wrote about upgrading a consolidator ticket (ie: no printed fare therefore not upgradable) and also upgrading an LH ticket (on an AC plane).

I figure you have a min. of 4 shots at it:

1. check-in agent (at exec class check-in)
2. ML lounge (one of mine was there)
3. gate agent
4. ticket counter (okay it should have #1)

If you wanted to increase your odds you could even try a couple of check-in agents, assuming you are there early enough.

I figure you have a 90% chance if J is open.
