Report this immediately.
Your point is certainly valid, but let me throw something out there.
YOU are completely capable of opening any aircraft door in an emergency (Don't push a resisting FA out of the way to do it

). Everyone should listen to the demo tape, READ THE CARD, and ask questions if unclear on how to get out of the plane. I'd hate to see anyone die because the first guy to the door was hesitant to open it. I'm guessing you already know this and were just emphasizing your point.

It's happened to me too! Sometimes I try to say "Flight Attendants prepare for immediate takeoff please". We're technically not allowed to alter the phrase "flight attendants prepare for takeoff", but I like to say please
It mostly happens on the new config 767 since the demo is like 15 minutes long...then the 'language' speaker takes another 10....

, but sometimes it is a bit of a surprise! I've been told as we taxi to the holding pad by the runway that it'll be a 30 minute wait...only to be told 2 minutes later that if we can get out if we can takeoff NOW. Don't know if any of that was the case, but thought I'd share...
We're supposed to warn the FAs ~5 min prior to t/o, so I'm sure she expected to have more time. I'll go out on a limb and guess that the incident was thoroughly debriefed during the flight!!!
