Amen to that!

I've been on trips of nearly 700 miles on the AC Dash-8's and they are quiet, clean and comfortable.

The US versions are not nearly as nice or quiet but they ARE better then a CRJ even with the noise and the butt numbing vibrations if you sit under the wings.

To the poster who compared them to an M-1 tank with wings I think that's an accurate comparrison. I also have heard them called "3rd world chicken and pig haulers"

There may be weight and balance and weather issues associated with an A/C like the Dash. They are borderline indestructable
