I've done more flights than I can count on the Dash 8, a plane I'm rather fond of. They're somewhat noisy, but perfectly good airplanes with an excellent safety record and preferable, IMO from a comfort standpoint, to the smaller RJs. A tank with wings, as DashPilot put it.
I agree, I like the Dash8s. They feel more comfortable to me than the CRJs.
If you want a hell flight, try the J31s or J32. They fly around like angry, drunk bumble bees. No lavatory either.
