One time in Orlando, I reserved a Corvette Convertible Fun Collection. When I arrived I was assigned a Toyota Camry and they said my reservation had a rate mistake, they knew about it for weeks, but decided to give me the Camry instead of calling me. They would not compromise on other convertibles. We were deadlocked after some argument, they told me to just not rent from Hertz and go somewhere else.

Avis gave me a free upgrade from a Full size to a 350z Roadster due to my status with them as well. After that I haven't been loyal to Hertz and only shop for the best deals and value.
