75% INCREASE, ARE THEY NUTS??!!

I've been a fairly loyal member of the HHonors program, but the one deciding factor had been the value of the points. If they are going to reduce the value of points by 50-75%, then I'll just stay at Starwood or Hyatt. Starwood has always treated me great even before I earned elite status. However I did not care for the point earning power. Now that Hilton has increased the required points for reward redemption, they have lost the edge.
