Hi everyone. I have to fly LON-YYZ and ORD-LON next month and it looks like AC is the way to go. The only problem is that the ticket books into K and L so that means no BD miles. I can either pay £110 myself to get into a x1 fare bucket (netting 7500 ish status miles) or just credit them to m+m at x0.5 in anticipation of the merger.

I've just hit gold so don't need the status miles urgently and I'm a little worried I'll end up spending £110 on some status miles that just disappear when we get swallowed up by m+m (hopefully not a huge problem however if we all get comp SEN for two years like SN did!). This is a good argument to save the money and credit to m+m but what if DC sticks around for a year from now and I miss gold because I didn't credit these miles to DC!

Aggghhh the dilemma! what you you lot do?
