I'm writing to you from the AMS KL Lounge. Just got off of NW40 - WP ticket. I didn't expect an upgrade, but the flight was WIDE - WIDE open in Y and for sure not full in J, just not sure how many empty seats there were. I wasn't expecting an upgrade, but I very nicely said to the GA as I boarded - "Any lucky Platinum upgrades today?" She said, hmmm, let me check and see! - - - Sorry, no. We don't have any control over those, you know, they come from Minneapolis! So, no big revelation here, just that she didn't say anything like - oh that program has ended, and the fact that they come from MSP - and not someone local at the airport, I thought was interesting.
