Now why would someone check out at that point? How about high year tenure of 14 years if a person does not promote to E-6 or higher.
Most people who enlist in the service do so right out of high school. Some may obtain additional education and degrees during a career. Most do not.
Just a guess but TSORon could certainly confirm or deny such since he rails about others education.
Wondered the same, but was afraid the post would disappear. At the 13 year point a person would usually be headed for a full twenty to make it a career. That may be a post that Ron will regret having ever made.
