Don't discount the Hilton Garden Inn. It's a couple of blocks from the Riverside and in a safe area to walk if you'd like to head to the Quarter. The cab to the Superdome isn't much and you're out of the congestion. It may offer a better deal than the rest. I've stayed there a couple times. It's been significantly cheaper than the others. I think because it's tucked off on a side street. But the service is great and the place has a full service restuarant and it's either relatively new or very very well maintained. Pretty classy small hotel. Check it out.
