New ways to qualify for Gold/Diamond as of 1/1/03
"Beginning January 1, 2003, every HHonors Base point you earn starting this date will help qualify you for VIP status. You'll earn Gold VIP status after earning 60,000 Base points in a calendar year. You'll earn Diamond VIP status after earning 100,000 Base points in a calendar year. Of course, you can still qualify based on your number of qualifying stays or nights."
