Before my current VISA card, my main card used to be Maestro. As Swiss doesn't take these for the bookings on their website, I've regularly used [over 2-3 years] my friend's card to purchase tickets. And I would just transfer money into her bank account.

Not once have they stopped, or questioned a transaction.
