Thank you for your suggestions. I'm new to tracking down this information, and any help is appreciated.

I've got lots of travel agent itineraries from flights I took in 1997 that indicate that the flights were operated by Comair -- so I think I have that part narrowed down correctly. The routes in question are:

MCI-CVG and CVG-LEX (and vice versa). Strangely, there were many times I flew a small jet between MCI and CVG and then got on an MD80 to fly the 70 miles to LEX.

If you know when you flew you can probably narrow it down to one or two types of aircraft (it would be MD80 series and/or Boeing 717 if it was within the last decade or so).
Using flightstats for more recent years, I've determined that all but a few were on 717's (the exceptions being recent flights between MCI-DCA on E175s and a 2002 flight between MCI-LGA that I am guessing was on a DC-9).

When I asked my original question, I was referring to registration numbers. I guess I'll just have to settle for aircraft type for the moment.
