I'm new to FlyerTalk, so I hope I'm not posting something which has been discussed to death. I fly EWR-SFO every three weeks or so and have so far received a single upgrade. Is this commonplace for EWR given the large number of Elites? I'd hope that my platinum status gets me more than access to the exit row. Am I missing out on an obvious strategy?
