I certainly would not tolerate such problems from the HHonors program after spending good money in their hotels. You are well within your rights to leave the program and go to another one-especially with the way they comp elite status nowadays. It seems like they can make a fortune from people staying in hotels, hoping to receive elite status, and then provide no benefits. If they don't provide the elite services, it's a scam. 2000 points in the HH program doesn't even buy a 1/3 of a meal. Shame on you if you go back and the same thing happens again. Don't be a sucker twice!
