Both aircraft are incredibly safe machines. If you aren't worried about getting in a car going to the airport, don't worry about which plane you are flying on for those reasons. The EMB-175, I think, is "bigger" than all versions of the CRJ. If you already think you are going to freak out, you will probably freak out on either one. It's silly but it is what it is.
