There are quite a few airports in both NZ and Australia which do not have any security. Just walk from the "terminal" to the aircraft and off you go.
I believe that depends on the aircraft. Regulations in NZ say security is only required for aircrafts with more than ~100 passengers (can't remember exact number).
Typically, that means jet aircrafts.
