Please remember that if you are checking a bag, it will go on your original, ticketed flight. As such, the bag may arrive in MIA long after you have arrived on the non-stop, which will cause you to wait for it at the airport, make a return trip to the airport to pick up the bags, of pay AA Baggage Services a fee to have your checked bags delivered to you.
