That may be, but LEX's runway and gate facilities cannot handle fully loaded INT'L aircraft. There will be no INT'L flights arriving at LEX....other than the Sheik of Dubai. The only likely solution is to ramp up traffic at the surrounding INT'L airports...CVG, SDF, IND, ATL...etc. You're talking about doubling the size of Lexington's population for 3 weeks (roughly 300,000) when LEX's airport annually caters to 1M passengers....something has to give.

This doesn't even take into consideration all of the horses that will also be flying in and out. People just don't realize how much of a big deal these games are....plan your vacation now for next September....GTFO of town!!!
